What Is Transportation Like in North Dakota

Is there public transportation in North Dakota? Is there Uber, is there Lyft, are there trains, are there buses?

Okay, 2016 when we first arrived, there is no Uber, no Lyft. So basically, only metro. I think that's the metro taxi. They will really give you a headache.

At 4 am, I'm already awake and still I am late at 7 am. If you want to cancel, you just cancel. I'm like well, I waited since 4am. No, I will wait. So after that incident, I took a car even not the one that I really want. I mean, with the color so because I'm still waiting that time for my car, so I just took whatever is available and now they have the Uber, they have Lyft, so that's very good.

They also have a public transport, they call that Bisman transit. But I think there's a certain schedule and we tried that also. There's so much weird people there, I tried it only once. So rather stick to Uber, Lyft and your own car.

That is my most prefer - my own car. A really good all wheel drive. Well of course, an auto starter - that is a must.

So that you know 15 minutes or 30 minutes - for example you work night shift so you need to auto start your car so that when you arrive in your car, it's warm, it's comfy, and you will not feel cold.  Auto starter heated seats, All wheel drive or four wheel drive. You need to have that spray for the snow to melt out - spray on your windshield (De-icer) and scraper so those are the must have and also you need to have the shovel.

So that's those are really great pointers and tips because you might not know that because people living in North Dakota that grown up with that. So they might know those things. Those are great tips for nurses that are arriving that might not have experienced the snow before.

That's why I think it's just so interesting of you might not have lived in that kind of climate before but you learn to adapt, and everybody adapt and then lots of tools available to help you adapt. So that's really interesting.
